Chocolate Production Worker
Job Location: Ashland, OR
Summary:
Supports production functions of prep, moulding and packaging in the Dagoba Organic Chocolate plant. Responsible to comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices for food plants. Responsible to notify superiors of circumstances that may affect food quality or food safety.
Job Essentials:
Wearing of required safety apparel and observe all safety and health policies and procedures
Responsible for immediate notification to supervisor and/or plant manager regarding any food safety issues that may arise
Responsible for immediately notification to supervisor and/or plant manager and/or safety coordinator of any plant safety concerns or incidents
Factory working conditions with shift work required
Following all current Good Manufacturing Practices and quality specifications of manufacturing in food plant
Promptness, good attendance, respect, honesty and cooperation
Adherence to Hershey code of ethics and values
Understanding of basic job duties, responsibilities and related rules and regulations
Must be able to speak, read and write in English, and possess good communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability and desire to work independently and/or in teams
Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices for food plants
Understanding of Food Safety and Quality for food plants
Ability to conduct work in a sanitary and hygienic manner
Dependability including promptness, and reliable/regular attendance
Must be physically capable to climb stairs, wash/mop floors, sweeping, and other cleaning- related tasks. Must not have allergies to tree nuts. Must also be free of perfumes and/or Cologne. No wearing of jewelry including rings, earrings, necklaces, etc., and no body glitter.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Experience: 3 to 5 years relevant experience
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
